As 2025 begins, many of us are reflecting on how to take better care of ourselves. Wellness goals like staying active, eating healthy, and managing stress remain at the top of New Year’s resolutions. But let’s be honest: sticking to these goals isn’t always easy. Most people lose momentum within a few months, and for women, the challenges can be even greater due to packed schedules, competing priorities, and sheer exhaustion.
At Etalon, we’re passionate about supporting women’s wellness and helping them overcome these obstacles. That’s why we conducted a survey among U.S. women to uncover their top wellness priorities for 2025 and the barriers that often stand in their way.
New Year Resolutions: Are They Still Relevant?
Our survey revealed mixed feelings about New Year’s resolutions. While only 13% of women believe resolutions are truly effective, a hopeful 64% still plan to set them for 2025. This shows that despite the skepticism, the drive for self-improvement remains strong.
The challenge, however, lies in seeing those resolutions through. Just 10% of women reported achieving all their wellness goals in 2024. So, what makes sticking to resolutions so tough?
The Barriers to Wellness
Women face a variety of challenges when it comes to prioritizing their wellness goals. According to our survey, the most common obstacles include:
- Financial constraints (26%)
- Family and caregiving responsibilities (26%)
- Lack of motivation and discipline (21%)
- Mental exhaustion (16%)
- Lack of time (12%)
- Physical exhaustion (10%)
These findings highlight the juggling act that many women manage daily, often putting their own well-being on the back burner.
Top Wellness Goals for 2025
For 2025, women’s wellness priorities are as diverse as their needs. Here are the top goals identified in our survey:
Interestingly, posture improvement has become a rising trend, with nearly 30% of women aiming to work on it in 2025. Their motivations? Reducing back and neck pain (29%), enhancing confidence (39%), improving breathing and core strength (20%), and simply feeling better overall.
What Drives Wellness Goals?
Women are increasingly focusing on how wellness makes them feel rather than how it makes them look. The top motivators include:
- Feeling better overall (76.6%)
- Maintaining good physical health (55.3%)
- Improving mental health (45.9%)
Social media also plays a role, with 40% of women saying it influences their wellness goals. Of these, 57.4% find motivation and ideas online, while 45.2% feel inspired by wellness content they consume.
What to Expect in 2025
Looking ahead, women are planning to invest more time and money into their wellness:
- Time Commitment: About a third (32.9%) plan to dedicate 1-3 hours a week to wellness, while another 32.7% aim for 3-6 hours.
- Financial Investment: Wellness spending is on the rise. In 2024, 23% of women allocated 1-3% of their budget to wellness, but in 2025, many plan to increase this to 5-6%. Top investment areas include nutrition (31.8%), self-care (16.6%), and preventative healthcare (13%).
That said, not everyone is on board. About 32% of women don’t plan to set resolutions at all, often citing past struggles as a reason.
How Can Postural Awareness Boost Your Wellness in 2025?

- Be Mindful of Your Posture: Pay attention to how you sit, stand, and move throughout the day. Small adjustments, like keeping your shoulders back and avoiding slouching, can make a big difference.
- Set Up an Ergonomic Workspace: If you spend long hours at a desk, ensure your chair, desk, and screen are properly aligned to support good posture.
- Incorporate Movement: Regularly stretch or take short movement breaks to counteract the effects of prolonged sitting.
- Strengthen Your Core: Core exercises like planks, yoga, or Pilates can help support your spine and improve overall posture.
